Join us during the Pacific Grove Chamber of Commerce Art, Wine & Music Walk on April 11th, from 6pm-9pm at Crema, as we welcome Lynn Deutsch and her hand-crafted paper bead necklaces – in fact we proudly display one of Lynn’s works, created out of our very own Crema menus! During the Art Walk Event, Lynn will be accepting commissions out of books, letters, and other sentimental papers.
About Lynn:Lynn (Tshepo) Deutsch was a Peace Corps Volunteer in the small rural village of Mmathethe in Botswana, Africa. During her two years there, she implemented a life skills program, did yoga in classrooms with the primary children, and promoted a literacy program. On the side, she learned and taught several women in her village how to make paper necklaces to generate income. The women came weekly to learn, talk about issues that affected them, and how to motivate others to step out of poverty and prevent HIV. Her time in the Peace Corps was a life altering happening, and she hopes to generate some funds through selling her paper necklace products to be able to give back to some special people in the village one day.
